"Album Review"

Rolling Stone, June 2, 2005

Pink Martini of Portland, Oregon, have gained a cult following thanks to their party-friendly mix of Fellini-esque fanfare, Technicolor samba and other cosmopolitan frills. Tomato, the follow-up to their 1997 debut, is even brighter and tighter. Highlight: "Kikuchiyo to Mohshimasu," a mesmerizing shogun-era-inspired love song.
